Cycling: a popular pastime that is also a vehicle for fashion statements.
PARIS — Pendant a recent sunny weekend, cycling enthusiasts were invited for a “Beret Baguette” ride round Paris and encouraged to dress in 30s style to celebrate le French flair pour la mode et gastronomie.
Proud particpants showed off their takes on the retro Gallic style with outfits spanning from the typical nautical stripes, rolled-up trousers and blue blazers to drawn-on moustaches, with some even donning a tricolor bodysuit. Les accoutrements included bow ties, suspenders, boaters and, mais oui, berets.
Sounds like a right laff.
